Important General Election Dates
- January 15, 2025 – First day to file for a place on the ballot
- February 14, 2025 – Last day to file for a place on the ballot
- February 18, 2025 – Last day for write-in candidates to file
- February 20, 2025 – First day to post Notice of Drawing for Place on Ballot
- February 24, 2025 – Ballot position drawing at 10:00 AM
- April 3, 2025 – Last day to register to vote in order to vote in May 3, 2025 Election
- April 9, 2025 – Election notice publishes in the paper
- April 22 – April 25 & April 28 & 29, 2025 – Early voting at Courthouse Annex (8AM to 5PM) Tentative
- May 3, 2024 – Election Day (Polls Open from 7AM – 7PM)

Qualifications for Office
Alderman
- Residence – 1 year in Texas prior to the filing deadline
- Residence – 6 months in Hallettsville prior to the filing deadline
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be a registered voter of Hallettsville by the filing deadline
Mayor
- Residence – 1 year in Texas prior to the filing deadline
- Residence – 1 year in Hallettsville prior to the filing deadline
- 18 years of age or older
